Generally, the Kingsport site library is under the same policies as the main campus library.
You can request materials from the main campus library in Bristol via the Interlibrary Loan Form. If you do not take classes in Kingsport, we will mail the item to the address you provide on the form. Delivery may take several days to a week.
Faculty who teach at the Kingsport Higher Education Center and Downtown locations may place books and other materials on reserve circulation. Reserve materials are typically checked out for a two hour period for in-building use only.
For students at the Kingsport HEC reserve materials can be made available in the King College office on the 1st floor of the HEC.
This policy allows more students access to the materials in an equitable manner. Exceptions will be made only at the request of the professor.
For more information or to place an item on course reserves in Kingsport, contact the Kingsport library office at (423) 245-3530 or send an e-mail message to library@king.edu.
Interlibrary loan is a service through which library materials not found in the E. W. King Library may be requested from other libraries. To request interlibrary loan material, go to the Interlibrary Loan form and use the Book Request Form or the Periodical Request Form. It usually takes from several days to two weeks for materials to arrive. Be sure to allow enough time to obtain and then to use borrowed materials.
